Who We Are

Donald Giesen

Donald is the Founder and Managing Director of the East African Media Institute (EAMI) which trains young and old in media and communication courses. EAMI currently trains over 100 students at any one time and is involved in media training in rural and underserved communities in Kenya.

Donald has over 16 years experience in Kenya and has participated in several development initiatives as an individual and with EAMI.  Western Kenya has been his home for several years.

 

 

Kennedy Osike

Kennedy is a long-time resident of western Kenya and was an original founding board member of Sirikhaya Secondary School in Busia District.  He also served as its first headmaster and partnered with local and international organisations to build the school from 10 students to over 100.

Kennedy also served as the Manager of Mwangaza Children’s Rehabilitation Home in Mlolongo, Kenya and has taken courses in Substance Abuse Counselling in addition to his Post Graduate Teaching Diploma.
